All Nippon Airways has launched a Premium Member Status campaign that will allow users to earn status by flying with ANA in combination with other ANA services and transactions.
The campaign, which will run for a year, will mark the first time an airline has launched an initiative where the Premium Member Status level may be achieved through the combination of services, including its newly launched ANA Pay, instead of just through flights.
Previously, the carrier‘s Premium Member Status was solely determined by the number of premium points earned through flying. The new campaign for 2021 will allow users to acquire Premium Member Status by using ANA’s various services – which range from insurance to tax payment platforms and online retail – during their daily lives, in addition to the pre-existing accumulation from each flight.
The new initiative will provide customers more opportunities to accomplish the Premium Member Status amid a decrease in the opportunities for flying due to the impact of the Covid-19 outbreak and is the latest addition to ANA’s plans to digitise its business.
All Nippon Airways is a Skytrax 5-star airline and Japan’s largest carrier. ANA has been a member of Star Alliance since 1999 and has joint venture partnerships with United Airlines, Lufthansa German Airlines, Swiss International Airlines, and Austrian Airlines.
