For business travellers looking for an elegant dining opportunity in Hong Kong, Harbourside at the InterContinental Hong Kong will present a week-day lunch showcase of Malaysian cuisine, combined with some of the best Victoria Harbour views in the city, from January 2nd until February 28.
Chef Nicholas Chan’s “A Taste of Malaysia” includes an array of famous dishes as well as special family recipes from his home country of Malaysia.
Malaysian cuisine, representative of the vibrant multi-cultural country, is heavily influenced by nearby countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, India and, Singapore and is characterised by flavourful dishes using a range of spices to ignite the appetite in the hot tropical weather.
Some of Chef Nicholas Chan’s Signature Malaysian Dishes which will be showcased on the lunch buffet include Malaysian mango salad with prawns; and cuttlefish salad, while a rotating selection of hot items will include fish curry; sautéed petai with sambal, pork belly, squid and dried fish; Nyonya laksa prawns; and Malaysian Mee Goreng.
In addition, there will be Action Stations serving fresh Dosa and Malaysian satays (Chicken, Beef, Lamb, Pork) with peanut sauce and condiments.
The lunch buffet at Harbourside also offers a host of non-Malaysian dishes, including freshly made sushi and sashimi, noodles and pasta dishes, and a carving station with Australian beef striploin. The lunch buffet is priced from HK$488 (US$62) per person.
