Garden Revival

Conrad Singapore Orchard has debuted as an urban garden on the Lion City’s iconic shopping street.

Originally designed by legendary architect John Portman and now invigorated by local creatives and artists, Conrad Singapore Orchard’s distinctive design conscientiously embraces Singapore’s garden city environment, drawing art and nature into 12 cascading floors of contemporary guest rooms, meeting spaces, restaurants, and bars. At the heart of Portman’s architectural marvel, the skylit atrium stands as a bold legacy of his work – a striking and iconic hallmark that bathes the entire space in natural light.

Weaved into this space are contemporary pieces  –  including Stephanie Scuris’ Harmony Fountain and Michio Ihara’s stunning Singapore Shower  –  by emerging local and regional artists, welcoming guests on a visual exploration of Singapore’s rich botanical heritage.

Conrad Singapore Orchard has debuted as an urban garden on the Lion City’s iconic shopping street.

Conrad Singapore Orchard’s 445 newly imagined guest rooms blend refined residential living with that same botanical-inspired design, and feature floor-to-ceiling windows, complemented by plantation shutters, spacious bathrooms, touches of modern technology, and a colour palette in sand, cream, and muted greens. The hotel’s 46 suites each feature a spacious lounge and expansive terrace: we love the 210-sqm Conrad Suite with its expansive bedroom, dining room, walk-in closet and steam shower.

The hotel’s dining experiences include Basilico, where you’ll find great seafood and a cheese room, while the Manhattan bar is home to the world’s first in-hotel rickhouse and its cocktails are barrel-aged. Feeling energetic? Take a dip in the outdoor pool or do the Edible Garden Walk, an immersive journey from the hotel to the country’s first and only UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Singapore Botanical Gardens, led by local arborists and botanists.
